Clements
has been practicing
law for more than 20
years. He holds a B.S.
degree in Chemical
Engineering from the
University of
Cincinnati,
Cincinnati, Ohio, and
a law degree from
George Mason
University, Arlington,
Virginia.
Mr. Clements was
Chief Patent Counsel
for the Polyester
Fiber & Resin
Division of KoSa,
formerly Hoechst
Celanese. While with
Hoechst, he held a
two-year assignment
with Hoechst AG in
Frankfurt, Germany,
and actively
participated in
European Patent Office
opposition and appeal
procedures. Mr.
Clements speaks fluent
German.
He was Senior
Patent Attorney for
B.F. Goodrich in
Akron, Ohio. For eight
years, he served as a
Patent Examiner with
the US Patent Office
specializing in
various chemical and
chemical apparatus
arts.
Mr. Clements is
a member of the
American Intellectual
Property Law
Association, the
Carolinas Patent
Trademark and
Copyright Law
Association, Licensing
Executive Society,
Charlotte World Trade
Association, and the
Touchdown Club.
He is on the Executive
Committee for the
North Carolina State
Beekeeping
Association.
